The situation

Rectangular treatment tanks at a Susquehanna valley plant. The gallery shows what the crews found: aeration headers and diffuser piping running the length of the floor, and banded staining up the walls marking years of operating levels. Piping on the floor is what makes a tank like this slow work — there is no clear run for a squeegee and every header has to be worked around by hand.

What we did

Drawdown, then solids removal across the floor and around, beneath and between the diffuser piping. Access by ladder through the top. Walls and floor washed down to bare concrete once the material was out. The job ran 122 days, the longest single tank engagement in our log.

The outcome

The later gallery frames show the result: clear floor, exposed piping, concrete back to surface.
